Class Overview

  Cirque de Vol offers aerial yoga for everyone from experienced yogis to those who are finally ready to start their aerial journey. This is an ongoing drop in class with complimentary equipment.    Aerial yoga combines traditional asanas with the support of a slim hammock, allowing you to experience new expressions of familiar poses while invigorating your mind, body, and soul.   Aerial yoga requires cautious consideration. Important contraindications for aerial yoga encompass conditions such as herniated discs, heart disease, extreme high or low blood pressure, glaucoma, osteoporosis, sinusitis, susceptibility to dizziness, recent concussion or head injury, recent history of stroke, and epilepsy. Come release tension, promote blood flow and oxygen levels through the body, and maybe even decompress your spine in a fun new inversion!   Our aerial yoga classes are also a perfect opportunity for aerial students to build flexibility and strength outside of their normal classes.   Whatever brings you to our aerial yoga practice, we’re happy to have you. All bodies welcome and see you in the air!

Know before you go

  • A signed waiver is required for participation. Please complete the waiver before attending here (handwritten waivers will not be accepted).
  • Please do not arrive more than 10-15 minutes prior to class start time to avoid interrupting the class before yours.
  • There are parking meters directly in front of the studio (free after 6 pm during the week and all weekend); the metered spots in front of the studio and the surrounding blocks are fair game. There is also a parking deck diagonally behind the studio that you can enter off W. Morgan (at W Morgan and Dawson intersection).
  • For aerial classes, wear leggings or yoga pants that cover the back of your knees. No bare legs. A fitted t-shirt or top that will not ride up over your head when you invert is also a good choice. Please remove any and all jewelry. You will be barefoot during class.
  • Participants who do not have the proper clothing will not be allowed to participate. Even little items such as buttons or zippers on jeans, belt buckles, etc can pierce the silks causing tears or holes which will ruin the fabric.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle, class will make you thirsty!

Cirque de Vol is a creative movement, circus and aerial arts community located in downtown Raleigh. Cirque de Vol offers a variety of movement art platforms: aerial arts, gymnastics, aerial yoga, fitness classes, and circus arts.
