Class Overview

Barre is a full-body, low impact workout that incorporates ballet-inspired moves. The class focuses on small and controlled movements with light weights or resistance, isometric holds, and high repetition. It’s designed to burn 500-700 calories per class while sculpting the body at the same time. Barre helps to improve your overall posture, to change your body composition, to strengthen and tone your muscles without increasing bulk, and to reduce stress. No dance background is necessary! You can have all these benefits without actually having to attempt a plié. Barre technique is great for all ages and fitness levels. Each workout can be modified to your ability, so it is a safe option even if you are recovering from injury, or expecting or recently had a baby. We encourage you to try all our different instructors: they have a variety of different backgrounds which they bring to the core Barre practice that we all have in common.

STUDIO OVERVIEW

Wild & The Barre is a boutique studio with contemporary design, skylights and plants. They have a large, 2700-square-foot space, full of light and equipped with mirrors, barres, small dumbbells, and mats and everything you need for the class. Wild & The Barre also has a changing area, large lobby and bathroom for your convenience.
