Why You Should Check Fitness Runs Out:

  • 5 great outdoor locations so you can enjoy the beautiful NYC parks and waterfront all year long: 6th St and FDR; Battery Park City; 44th & 12 Avenue (Pier 83); 70th & Riverside Park; and 108th & Riverside Park
  • Both 30 and 60-minute classes are offered to fit your schedule
  • Every workout focuses on dynamic drills, strength training, flexibility and, of course, running to help make you a stronger and more balanced runner, burn calories, increase metabolism, reduce tightness, and release stress

Know Before You Go:

Bring water, a towel and ID (no yoga mat required for the Run + Yoga class).

Citi Bike is a great way to get to class, and many people also run to and from class to increase their mileage.

Advice for First-Timers:

Beginner runners should start with either the 30-minute Run+Drills or 60-minute Run + Yoga class. Both classes stay in one location the whole time so it is easy to stop and take a rest if you need one.  The coaches will also help you to modify the workout if needed.  For the FITNESSRUNS class - which moves from one location to another - it is recommended that you be able to run at least a 9-minute to 10-minute mile pace.  If you're not sure, take the Run + Drills or Run + Yoga class first and the coach will help assess whether your readiness for FITNESSRUNS.
